Intranet Portal Migration from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2013
By using SharePoint 2007, TDIC’s global sales & marketing team’s spends a lot of time in searching the information they needed. It affects both internal & external process of the organization. The data required for the sales team was stored in various locations which causes delay in communicating with customers.
TDIC management wants to improve the team wide collaboration that makes sales and marketing teams to easily find the information they need to share with their clients.SharePoint 2007 to 2013 upgrade is not an easy task to do, because there is no single tool to fully automate this migration process.
APH Technologies deployed SharePoint Foundation 2013 which offers basic site creation and content management features, much similar to their original 2007 edition. You know that intranet up-time was a critical requirement; our SharePoint expert team knew that they could not migrate the data stored in SharePoint 2007 directly to this environment due to restrictions on custom applications in the hosted service. We have planned perfectly and successfully migrated all the SharePoint 2007 content to the new 2013 environment. This includes upgrading all workflows, web parts and client developed custom solutions.
The custom search solution we implemented on SharePoint 2013 provides users (Sales & Marketing) a friendly interface to search and find relevant information quickly to respond client requests efficiently.
